When do I get paid?+
Two payouts on every successful referral. The first ($150 to $500 depending on your tier) ships once the prospect completes a demo with our team. The second (5% to 10% of the contract value, scaled by tier) ships after the customer makes their first payment to us, with monthly payout runs via PayPal.
How is my tier determined?+
Tier is set at application using audience-weighted relevance, not raw follower count. A 25K LinkedIn voice in RevOps is more valuable to Ambassador than a 250K lifestyle creator. Micro is 5K to 25K relevant followers with 4%+ engagement, Mid is 25K to 100K with 2 to 4%, and Macro is 100K+ with 1 to 2% (Macro terms are negotiated directly with Ambassador leadership). If your audience or niche fit improves, your tier can move up. Email influencers@getambassador.com to request a re-tier.
What counts as a referral?+
Anyone who clicks your SmartURL, books a demo with our sales team, and completes that demo. Your link is tracked, so it doesn't matter if they sign up the same day or three weeks later. Cookie window is 90 days.
What if my audience is under 5K?+
We still want to hear from you. Apply anyway. We review every application and approve creators whose audience aligns with our customer base, regardless of tier label. Niche fit can outweigh raw size.
How do I disclose the partnership?+
Follow the FTC's guidance above. The short version: tell your audience clearly and visibly that you have a financial relationship with Ambassador. "#ad", "sponsored", "Ambassador partner", or a clear written disclosure in the caption all work. Hashtags alone, buried at the end of a caption, do not.
What happens after I'm approved?+
You get a welcome email with your SmartURL, access to the creator portal, content library access, and a tax form if your earnings cross the IRS threshold. We'll send the IRS Form W-9 when your application is approved. Return it to influencers@getambassador.com.
